Philanthropy

Giving back is at the heart of everything we do at the Iota Omega Chapter. We are proud to support HomeFront in Trenton, NJ, a local organization dedicated to ending homelessness and helping families in need. Because HomeFront is just a few miles from our campus, we have the unique opportunity to make a real, hands on difference in our community.Each year, our entire chapter volunteers together at the HomeFront Halloween Walk, a full day of fun events where we help bring joy to children and families served by HomeFront. It is an unforgettable experience that really brings our sisterhood closer while making a positive impact.Another meaningful tradition is making Buddy Boxes — care packages filled with essentials and small comforts that we assemble and personally deliver to HomeFront. Visiting in person and connecting directly with the organization makes this service even more special.To raise funds and awareness, we host the annual XIFA Soccer Tournament, where student organizations from across TCNJ come together to compete, have fun, and support HomeFront. It is a fantastic way to build community spirit on campus while raising money for a great cause.More recently, we added the Xi Lip Sync Battle to our philanthropy events. Teams sign up to perform, compete, and entertain — all while raising funds to support HomeFront and our national philanthropy, the Kindly Hearts Initiative.Through these events and our ongoing commitment, we are proud to serve, lead, and make a difference both as individuals and as a sisterhood.

The Kindly Hearts Initiative
The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our national philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Deltas across the country support two Key Impact Organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, making a national and regional difference under the umbrella of our focus. Letters of Love
All Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations participate in Letters of Love, Alpha Xi Delta’s national letter writing fundraising campaign. Held annually during the month of November this campaign benefits Alpha Xi Delta’s two Key Impact Organizations, StandUp for Kids and FosterClub. To learn more about Letters of Love, click here.
