Iota Omega

at The College of New Jersey

Letter From Membership Vice President

Dear Potential New Members,

Thank you so much for your interest in the Iota Omega chapter of Alpha Xi Delta at The College of New Jersey! I feel so lucky to have served on our chapter’s Executive Board in 2023 as Membership Vice President, and I am absolutely honored to be leading our chapter through formal Panhellenic recruitment in 2024. As Membership VP, my responsibilities include overseeing, managing, and executing all aspects of recruitment for AXiD, in order to ensure that our sisters are prepared to give PNMs the most positive and seamless recruitment experience!

While Alpha Xi Delta is one of the seven Panhellenic sororities on campus here at TCNJ, for us, Alpha Xi Delta is home. Our sisters feel so fortunate to have made such close, lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories with each other. We value sisterhood, leadership, knowledge, and service. Each member of AXiD is talented, unique, and beautiful in their own way, and this is one of the many reasons why we are proud to be a part of such an inclusive sisterhood. College is a time where you learn to find yourself, and it can be very daunting; having unconditional, endless support from an entire sisterhood has made it all worthwhile. With the overarching goal of inspiring our women to “Realize Their Potential” in all aspects of their lives, our goal throughout recruitment is to help every woman who meets us to do the same!

Alpha Xi Delta is proud to nationally support the Kindly Hearts Initiative, in which we focus on supporting children experiencing homelessness and foster care. Through the Kindly Hearts Initiative, our chapter is fortunate enough to support Homefront, an organization in Mercer County that helps families break the cycle of poverty. So many of my cherished memories in AXiD have been made all while giving back to our local community, and it truly warms my heart to know how many children we have helped together as a sisterhood.

Joining Alpha Xi Delta has been the most rewarding part of my entire college experience. Prior to college, I had never pictured myself in a sorority and didn’t know much about Greek Life. I’m so happy that I decided to take a leap of faith and sign up for recruitment my freshman year. After going into the process with an open mind, I can proudly say that the friendships that I have made in this organization are forever, and the leadership opportunities that I’ve been given have shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve never met a more genuine group of women who value me for ME. I feel so blessed to call Alpha Xi Delta my forever home.

The entire recruitment process is such a thrilling time, but with all of the excitement, also comes a wave of emotions. Going through recruitment can be nerve-racking and stressful, trust me I’ve been there. However, I can wholeheartedly say that Alpha Xi Delta can’t wait to welcome you with open arms and show you our close-knit sisterhood. My biggest piece of advice is to always stay true to yourself, have an open mind, and remember that it is normal to feel every emotion throughout this process. We can’t wait for you to find not only your home but for you to also find yourself during such an impactful time in your life.

Xoxi,

Christina Gallo
